Welcome to Spy Academy, the world's least-prepared and most over-confident spy training division.

As a freshly recruited rookie, you'll hit the streets to solve puzzles, follow intel drops, decipher coded messages, and attempt to impress HQ with your "professionalism" (no promises).

Each location offers both easy or hard puzzles, so you can choose your difficulty. But be warned... one of them may involve tracking down a suspicious chicken.

‍Step 1: Download the Story City AppYou’ll need the Story City app to redeem and play your adventure.

👉 Download the Story City App [iOS / Android]⚠️ The app must be installed before moving to Step 2.

Step 2: Redeem Your Gift
‍Once the app is installed, click the redemption link below.

What happens next:

• You’ll be redirected to the Story City app and coupon pop-up
• You’ll be prompted to create an account or sign in (email or social login)
• A redemption modal will appear once you’ve created your account
• Select your gifted adventure on the modal
• Apply the coupon and add it to your library

✅ Your adventure is now officially yours.

Step 3: Create Your Route
Now comes the fun part.

This adventure is location-based, which means you decide where the story unfolds. Inside the app, you’ll be guided through placing Frightnight story chapters at real-world locations that fit the narrative. 

Setup takes about 15 minutes, and we recommend doing this at home, preferably somewhere well-lit, before heading out on your investigation.

In general, you’ll be choosing locations that are:

• Easy to walk between
• Public and accessible
• Atmospheric enough to make you question your life choices
• You can play day or night, but if you play at night please select a neighborhood that is safe to walk in the evening.

Yes, you can have one person set the route for your entire group.

Just mark it as a community route with a memorable name so your whole team can access it via the Select Route button.

📍 Location Suggestions for This Adventure

Best played in: Busy neighbourhoods, mixed-use areas (that at a minimum have a cafe or restaurant), or downtown/entertainment districts.

Included location types you’ll need are:

• Cafe/restaurant
• Some place ‘interesting’ to start and end your adventure - that might include murals, landmarks, or a really cool tree.
• Generic town features like lampposts, a patch of grass, or a flight of publicly accessible stairs.

If a location doesn’t quite work, the app will guide you to select alternative location types that still support the mission.
